Pod72 was started out of my love for chocolate and the inability to buy the chocolate I wanted without incurring a huge amount of shipping costs buying from 5 different websites at a time.

Over the past 12 years, chocolate has grown, or perhaps regressed back to its origins, from mass production to the production of some of the most extraordinary artisan chocolate production. Words like origin, bean-to-bar, organic, fair trade, small batch, tasting notes, Criollo, Trinitario, Forastero, Nacional, and Fortunato have become common in everyday conversations about chocolate.

The goal of Pod72 is to collect all of the best chocolate bars in the world to sell in one place. Pod72 has been dubbed “The World’s Chocolate Marketplace”. It is a place that represents the greatest chocolate makers in the world and reaches even the most remote places on earth to bring the world the best chocolate.

Pod72 is located in Chicago, but since Pod72 is an e-commerce chocolate shop, we like to think of our shop as being in every city and country throughout the world.

Our goal is to collect the best chocolate in the world and educate you about all aspects of chocolate from bean to bar and beyond.
