"Mike Garcia and The Cruz" is a USC comedy-thriller-noir, 16 minute, short thesis film from director Christopher Guerrero of the "The Hipster Games" and creator of "Bill Murray Appreciation Day". Inspired by such films as Alex Cox's Repo Man, James Merendino SLC Punk and the Coen Brothers’ classic The Big Lebowski, "Mike Garcia and The Cruz" is a wild ride through a crazy world of College Chancellors, Anarchists, Punk Rockers, Goths, Hipsters and Derby Girls set against the enigmatic Santa Cruz, California (of Lost Boys fame).
