About

Harbinger Knowledge Products has announced the release of new version 4.7 of Raptivity, the award-winning eLearning software. The new release includes sound recorder, in-depth support to voiceover and advanced layout customization options among many other features.

The sound recorder is the most appealing addition in this new release. Now users can record their own narration, voice-overs and attach those to their interactions. Of course they can also bring in pre-recorded voices, music or sound effects. The course designers now do not have to open another sound recorder to record and attach sound for their interactions. The sound recorder is available right inside Raptivity which can be opened with just one click. This recorder can be used to record sound for all interactions where sound can be applied.

“Among many other useful features, this new release brings in very in-depth voiceover functionality for Raptivity interactions. This allows the interactivity designers to attach voiceover at very pertinent places in their interactions. For example: when the leaner flips the flash card, they can attach some narration to play. Or when the learner visits a particular page of the interactive eBook, they can make the learner listen to sound related to that page. So the sound is not limited to only introduction or background but it goes much beyond that to provide a true learning experience to the learner”, said Vikas Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, Harbinger Group.

Raptivity new release also brings in advanced layout customization options for Raptivity interactions. With this enhanced editing, the interactivity designers get a greater control over the look and feel of the interactivity. They can now move the objects like pictures and text and also resize them as per need.

“Many of Raptivity users used to ask us about layout customization. Some users wanted to have bigger boxes for descriptions or feedback on questions, some wanted to have more space for bigger logo on survey interactions and some wanted to make the buttons larger. All this is possible now with the enhanced editing options. This makes it possible for the course designers to create interactions which can fit well inside their course pages”, added Seema Chaudhary, Director, Business Development.

With the release 4.7, the features of advanced layout customization and in-depth voiceover functionality are available for all the interactions that are shipped with Raptivity Essential and Raptivity Zest. Very soon, these features will be available for interactions in other packs as well.

Raptivity was recently voted number one in time to proficiency and complex practice and assessment interaction building according to a global survey by eLearning Guild.
