About |
The Ray of Hope Foundation was founded by NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis with one powerful mission: to uplift, empower, and heal communities through love-driven initiatives. What began as a personal commitment to give back has grown into a national movement providing access, support, and hope to youth and families in need.
At its core, the foundation addresses the systemic issues many underserved communities face—particularly in the areas of mental health, education, and personal development. By focusing on mental wellness and resilience, the Ray of Hope Foundation actively works to break the stigma surrounding mental illness, especially among young people and communities of color.
Through a variety of community-based programs, mentorship initiatives, and educational partnerships, the foundation delivers meaningful change by meeting people where they are and guiding them toward where they can go. Whether it's offering school supplies to children in need, connecting families to mental health resources, or creating safe spaces for youth empowerment, the Ray of Hope Foundation believes that love is the greatest agent of change.
Inspired by both triumph and personal tragedy—including the loss of Ray Lewis’s son—the foundation is deeply committed to helping others find light through their darkest moments. Every initiative reflects the belief that healing happens when communities come together—and that purpose-driven support can spark generational impact.
The Ray of Hope Foundation welcomes collaborations with schools, civic organizations, healthcare providers, local governments, and individuals who share its commitment to change.
