About

Architect and designer Chris Sale is the principal director at Rider Sale Architects. Respected for their designs, he assists clients in creating successful projects known for their inspiration, refinement and propriety.

Chris graduated from Newcastle University as an Architect and joined the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1979. Based near Cambridge Chris has designed and project managed/ built four houses for his wife and family. Currently they live in a barn conversion which is illustrated in the present Homebuilding and Renovation “Book of Inspirational Barn Conversions”.

Chris has been involved in many different projects ranging from Debenhams department stores, offices, community buildings, and pubs but his main interest has been the living space of residential architecture. He has created exciting projects for his family and offers this experience to his many clients.

Chris was successful in two national residential design competitions. He was the joint design winner of the first stage of the NHBC and Northern Rock house design competition for FutureWorld and was also the first stage joint design winner in the Escape national design competition for a town house organized by Design for Homes and David Wilson Homes.
