About

BLOC is a Brooklyn-born rideshare platform redefining what it means to move through your city. Founded in January 2026, BLOC was built on a simple but radical idea: the commission-based rideshare model is broken, and drivers deserve better.
Traditional platforms like Uber and Lyft take 30–50% of every fare a driver earns. For a full-time driver grossing $1,500 a week, that's up to $750 walking out the door before they've paid for gas, insurance, or vehicle maintenance. BLOC replaces that model entirely with a flat monthly driver subscription — meaning drivers keep 100% of their fares, every ride, every time.
The result is a platform where incentives are actually aligned. When drivers earn more, they show up better — for their riders, for their neighborhoods, and for the platform. BLOC wins when drivers succeed. That's not a slogan. It's the business model.
BLOC's hyperlocal approach connects riders with drivers who know their streets, understand their neighborhoods, and are invested in the communities they serve. No surge pricing surprises. No opaque algorithms. Just transparent, consistent rides built on trust.
The platform is currently in pre-launch, with a growing waitlist of early riders and drivers across the New York metro area. BLOC is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York.
