Screw Pop Culture (SPC) was created  in 2008 with the sole purpose of spotlighting local unsigned and indie label artists.  It originally started as a biweekly music podcast featuring music from LA and Orange County.  The show quickly expanded to include music from all genres and areas including Taiwan, Malta, and England.

In 2011 Screw Pop Culture expanded from a biweekly podcast into a 24 hour a day streaming format.  Still keeping a focus on the indie music scene SPC expanded to Radio KSCR (www.radiokscr.com).  This expansion brought new talent and opportunities for showcasing talent.
