The purpose and primary objective of the SecureMaine is to increase the security capacity of organizations and individuals in Maine and surrounding areas through the ongoing exchanges of information relevant to infrastructure protection, and through education, outreach, and similar efforts and resources to increase awareness and knowledge relating to protection issues.

Further, the Corporation intends to foster collaboration and unite efforts to serve the constituents by collaborating with the “strategic partnerships” being non-profit professional cybersecurity, privacy, and physical protection organizations, plus related local and federal government bodies.

The annual SecureMaine Conference, inagurated in 2023, is organized by SecureMaine, a non-profit 501(c)3 (formation in process). SecureMaine represents a collaboration between 5 initial non-profit professional bodies in the cybersecurity, physical security, and privacy areas. The constituents to attend the conference are persons and organizations that seek to improve their security and privacy protection.

​SecureMaine seeks to provide security education, exposure, and networking opportunities to persons and organizations in New England, specifically Maine. The annual SecureMaine event that is coordinated by leading non-profit professional security organizations who will provide authoritative input from leading voices to update attendees, provide professional development, and provide broad exposure and networking opportunities. Important security vendors and leading federal and state organizations in the field will have an opportunity to exhibit and share knowledge during the event.
