Shannon Brinkley Studio's mission is to leverage the long and rich history of quilting to do real and practical good in today's world.
Shannon Brinkley Studio is a modern quilting studio in Austin, Tx, founded by Shannon Brinkley, an elementary teacher turned quilt and fabric designer. Shannon is the author of Scrappy Bits Applique (published by C&T Publishing in 2014) as well as a national speaker and teacher of her unique raw edge applique quilting techniques.
Shannon Brinkley Studio is partnering with Open Arms, a non-profit social enterprise of the Multicultural Refugee Coalition in Austin, Texas that manufactures sustainable sewn goods by providing living wage employment for female refugee artisans, to produce her first line of finished quilts, the Wanderlust Quilt.
Shannon Brinkley Studio also has a line of quilt patterns that help makers explore their creativity and turn tiny scraps of fabric into beautiful modern art quilts. A portion of the proceeds from every pattern goes to Plenty International.
