Every Skellee story has an event whereby a child needs a rescue service.  Each Skellee has a unique 'tool' which makes every rescue possible.  

The Skellee stories include an interactive quiz which helps children with comprehension, thus giving them an introduction to a skill they will need to master as they further their education. http://www.skellee.com

The author, AnneMarie Callan, wanted to bring modern day folklore superhero stories to children which left a child feeling that they had gained compassion and thoughtfulness for those in need.
