Founded in July of 2008, Social Media Club Los Angeles (SMCLA) is a non-profit, volunteer-based professional organization comprised of social media, digital marketing, content development, and public relations practitioners throughout Southern California. It is an official chapter of Social Media Club (SMC), the international professional association formed by Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells in 2006 to host conversations around the globe that explore key issues facing society as technologies transform the ways individuals connect, communicate, collaborate and relate to each other.
