United Art unites the activities of The American Foundation for Bulgarian-American cultural exchange and The Foundation for Bulgarian Culture Abroad.

The mission of the two foundations, one with headquarters in New York and the other in Sofia, is to establish a cultural bridge between Bulgaria and America, to support the transfer of representatives and works of different arts through the Atlantic, to popularize Bulgarian culture in the USA and the unknown American culture in Bulgaria.

The aim is to create possibilities for meetings and for the realization of joint projects and in this way to play an active role in the process of bringing closer the two cultures.

United Art’s main event in the USA is the Bulgarian Film Festival in New York, New Independent. This year will be the festival’s 8th edition. With Sofia Independent Film Festival we hope that American independent cinema will meet its fans in Sofia and will receive the same cordial welcome which Bulgarian cinema had in the USA.
