Nisqually Valley Care Center is located in a forested inland area not far from Mount Rainier, in McKenna.
Nursing at University Place Care Center includes a full complement of services from 24-hour licensed nursing care and post-surgical care to wound care, I.V. therapy and pain management.
Specialty services include restorative care, hospice care and respite care.
Rehabilitation services provided by our rehab team include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
We are Medicare and Medicaid certified and have contractual agreements with most managed care plans, the Veteran’s Administration and hospice agencies.
Similar programs and services are in place at our other skilled nursing and rehab centers.
Bridgeport Place has a 100% Deficiency-Free rating from the State of Washington.

Bridgeport Place is home to the University Place Lions Club and welcomes community groups to come in and become better acquainted with the facilities and services available.
Bridgeport Place hosts a free luncheon the 3rd Saturday each month from 12:00-1:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) known as the Saturday Senior Soup-tacular. Seniors are welcome to stop by (no strings attached) and enjoy fresh homemade soup du jour, breadsticks, desserts, and beverages. It is a wonderful social opportunity for seniors.
Bridgeport Place offers 74 apartment homes in floorplan sizes from studio to alcove to 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom with 2-bathroom suites (some include a deck or lanais).
Care services include diabetic management, medication assistance, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, and other care services. Our nursing and caregiving staff keep you in touch with changes in your loved one's condition(s).

Veterans of any branch of the US military may qualify for the Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefit. The benefit that is paid directly to the veteran and can assist substantially with the costs of assisted living. A veteran may qualify for $1,704 per month toward the cost of his/her care. The surviving spouse of a veteran can receive $1,094 per month. If a married couple moves into assisted living together (and one is a veteran), they can receive $2,020 per month from the VA; if both husband and wife are veterans they can qualify for over $2,600 per month. Bridgeport Place is happy to provide more information to individuals and their families about how to file for this benefit.
Bridgeport Place residents enjoy having a comfortable homelife with activities galore that they have input into and where their ideas, interests, and suggestions are welcomed for planning activities month-to-month. The menu is highly varied, colorful, and nutritious.
Bridgeport Place employs a licensed massage practitioner who is available by appointment in our Serendipity Spa located on the 3rd Floor at Bridgeport Place. Jacuzzi tub is available for residents use, as well. The backyard features a raised rose garden bed, massive patio, gas BBQ grill, colorful tables with umbrellas, lots of comfortable seating, and a pave walkway through the grounds, which are maintained meticulously.
Transportation is provided to medical appointments, shopping, banking, and more. Porter service is available weekly, as well.
All utilities including cable TV, and air conditioning (each resident controls the temperature in their own apartment) and it is all included in the flat-rate monthly rent; care services from nursing staff are additional. (Telephone is separate)
Everyone is included for all three meals daily plus snacks, entertainment, and so on.
Call light pull cords are in each apartment's living areas and an electronic monitoring system is in place that residents can utilize with a button to press on a wristlet or pendant that they may wear. Ask about the Cord-Mate system.
