Splash Mobile Money Limited

Splash is Sierra Leone’s first mobile payment system, allowing you to send money to other mobile users using just your phone.

To send money you must register with an agent and load money into your Splash account. You can then send that money to another mobile phone user, using just text messages

Uniquely … clients of all mobile networks can be registered on the Splash system - but you do not need a bank account to register, and registration is free.
Any Zain or Africell or Comium mobile phone can receive money through Splash – and the electronic money or "SplashCash" received can be converted to real cash with any Splash Agent.

Splash Mobile Money Limited was incorporated in 2008 and began trading in 2009.  It is based in Freetown.
