Orlando Hispanic Film Festival announces Film Workshops for December and January
As part of the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival's community commitment, their Educational Outreach Program invites you to experience three exciting workshops at the Orlando Public Library starting this month through January.
TUESDAY - December 11, 2007 (7:00pm)
What's in a shot? -- Standard Entertainment will conduct a workshop demonstrating the different camera techniques and angles used in film production to advance a scene and support a dialogue. Attendees will have the opportunity to handle cameras and experiment with the techniques that they will learn.
THURSDAY - January 3, 2008 (7:00pm)
Animation Education -- Come enjoy a few short animated films and learn more about the fascinating world of animation. Two of the official selections recently screened at the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival will help kick off the night at the Library: Tadeo Jones y El Sotano Maldito directed by Spanish director Enrique Gato and La Cecilia directed by Mexican director Ari Carrillo. Immediately following the films we will welcome Lake and Alexi Eissinmann along with Heath Hollingshead from Central Floridas own Mighty Mojo Studios. They will showcase some of their educational animations currently under production and provide an overview of animation filmmaking, followed by a Q&A. www.mightymojostudios.com
THURSDAY - January 17, 2008 (7:00pm)
Screen Actors Guild Signatory Workshop -- If you are considering producing your own film and do not know how or where to start, plan to attend this informative workshop presented by Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival. Conducted by David Fazekas, SAG South Region Executive. This workshop will introduce and explain SAG's various low-budget agreements, including special agreements for short and student films. David will walk you through the process of signing a SAG low-budget agreement from start to finish and answer any other questions you might have about SAG. www.sag.org
