About

The Children’s Safety Education Foundation (CSEF) is a national charity committed to reducing the number of child victims through the provision of interactive safety education. CSEF’s mission is to reach every child in the UK so that they can make informed choices when they are faced with danger, and promote greater independence, health and well-being in later life.

The charity has a track record of delivering preventative educational programmes to children and young people covering safety and social issues from fire, home and road safety to gangs, knife crime and anti-social behaviour.

It works in collaboration with the emergency services, local authorities and other government agencies to ensure that resources, knowledge and expertise are used in a way that it maximises impact, delivers positive results and reaches as wide an audience as possible. The charity has strong links with the business community and works closely with voluntary and statutory agencies that have similar visions, synergies and a common aim to prevent unintentional injury to children.

CSEF’s capacity to understand and communicate with young people is unparalleled. Not only does it examine cultural changes and shifts in attitude amongst today’s young people to develop effective dialogue and an engaging approach to safety education, it also uses curricular guidance to design its programmes.
