STORIeDD is an alternative method of learning from an English dictionary that uses an alphabetical narrative. This is an interesting deviation from existing modes of dissemination of words from the English dictionary.

STORIeDD is a narrative dictionary that signals a decisive shift from the traditional modes by which the words from the English dictionary are being taught. It adds an altogether new dimension to the art of teaching words from the English dictionary and fills a major lacuna in present-day, textual and static dictionaries.

For non-native learners unexposed to the nuances, dynamics and intricacies of a language they do not know, the task of remembering English words with the help of these dictionaries is problematic. Being unable to relate to these words to a strong connecting component, they have to simply learn the word by rote, remember it and reproduce it when needed.
