StudentRentIt.com Helps College Students Find Housing

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State students have partnered with licensed realtors to provide an internet listing service to help guide college students in need of housing.
StudentRentIt.com helps students find those hard-to-find homes, view apartments and their ratings, start the application process online from apartments of their choosing and post subleases. Training Director of Horizon Realty Advisors, Aisha Hopkins, sees the potential of the new site and is eager to see the outcome of what’s to come.
"StudentRentIt.com is an exciting new product we are looking forward to implementing. Hopefully, this is a solution to saving apartment communities time and money and will be an easy tool for students to find housing," Hopkins said.
The website currently has 78 apartment communities listed and is exclusively for the San Marcos and College Station area. The founders of StudentRentIt.com have high hopes to expand into Waco and Denton by the end of 2014. Co-Founder, Brenden Martin, wishes to bridge the gap between students and their future home.
“Finding a place to live can be a struggle. We focus on connecting college students with their classmates to fulfill their housing needs,” Martin said.
StudentRentIt.com will be launching its renovated website on January 15th, 2014.
Updates will allow college students to connect directly with college students, parents can send care packages and get the inside scoop on apartments as well as a guarantee to find the best deal available via a “Groupon” like feature. Finally, one of the most exciting new features allows apartments to contact users whose apartment needs match 80% or more with the apartment offerings. Co-Founder, Sean Borger, explained the concept in more detail.
“We want students to enjoy college life. You are only here for a short amount of time and nobody wants to waste a week of his or her life searching for an apartment. This way apartment managers can do the work for the student,” Borger said.
