Tampa Deep-Sea X-plorers LLC was formed as a legal entity in the state of Florida with the intention of competing for the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE contest. We are a group of individuals from various disciplines who have come together for the purpose of competing in the contest. The competition is rigorous and will require development in mechanical engineering, robotics, computer programming, navigation, digital video, cartography, and seamanship. The competition will run for the next 2 years and will require thousands of man hours of work as well as considerable financial investment.
