Our Growth Story

It all started when two techies of the city Prashant Janadri and Naveen Ram took an auto-ride to work and while listening to the conversation between the auto-driver and his son the duo was astonished to find that the young lad had to drop out of his university because he could not afford his higher education. It was at this point that the duo realized that several students just like the auto driver son were forced to drop out of universities due to the lack of financial resources and could not continue their higher education. At this point, the techie duo realised that living in a country that has the highest student population it was the right time to work in a way that benefits the student community. With this vision Prashant Janadri and Naveen Ram founded Taskmo formerly known as FeedMyPockets in 2017.  

Taskmo formerly known as FeedMyPockets is the brainchild of Prashant Janadari and Naveen Ram. They initially started off as a platform to engage students based on a simple premise Earn to Learn with the sole mission to provide them temporary jobs with flexible working hours so that they had ample time to balance their education and their temporary job. What started off as a simple Facebook campaign the duo saw over a thousand plus students who started enrolling to perform field based jobs. At the end of August 2020 over students benefitted from FeedMyPockets.

But for our founders it just did not stop there The rising surge for tasks never took a halt and it was at this moment that our founders realised that it’s time to look at the bigger picture. When things were going the way they panned out to be the entire globe went on lockdowns and the pandemic led to the halt of several businesses and toppled down even large organizations but for us at Taskmo it was the time to soar high. With nationwide lockdowns the gig economy became the big economy. Several traditional workers who lost their full time jobs quickly turned towards the gig economy and it turned out to be a saviour for them. Looking at the phenomenal growth of the gig economy our founders found it as the right time to make a big business decision. They directed the efforts of the entire team and rebranded ourselves into Taskmo. Since then Taskmo’s growth has been phenomenal. This decision to rebrand ourselves had switched our entire game plan. If there is something that the pandemic taught us is that gig jobs are soon going to turn into the mainstream economy.  Even though our sole vision was still to provide jobs to everyone we swiftly transitioned into the gig economy with a mission to digitise all gig jobs and provide gigs for the next billion internet users. When we look back today, the global pandemic was indeed a blessing in disguise for the gig economy of India says Prashant Janadri co founder of Taskmo and we could not agree more

We all know how it feels to be appreciated and recognized for all our efforts, do not we. Just like every day is a new chance to push yourself to achieve that goal of yours for our young entrepreneurs it was a day that all their efforts started to pay off. It was on January 28th 2021 that Taskmo raised 1.4 million dollors funded by one of the country largest staffing organizations Quess Corp. To our founders and the family at Taskmo, this was a day to be written in the books. This year 2021 is very close to our hearts and both of us remember it very fondly, a long awaited moment has finally occurred and it’s just the beginning for us says Naveen Ram co-founder of Taskmo. Indeed a day that will go down in history for Taskmo.

What started off with just two individuals with a zeal to empower the student body of the country it is safe to say that we have and will continue to grow into leaps and bounds.
