New giveaway app earns Leanne Natalie £1,000 cash!
Stumbling across a new app, ‘The Draw’ proved lucky for Bournemouth resident, Leanne Natalie, as she landed the first ever weekly prize of £1000 cash.
Leanne, who clicked on a sponsored Facebook advert just days before, was thrilled with her early Christmas present.
The Manchester Entrepreneurs Joe Woolley & Shaun McSorley, who created this new fun app game, which rewards people for playing, wanted to mark this special launch by presenting the prize money in person. As Leanne was the first to win the weekly prize, they thought it important to deliver the money themselves and made the 500 mile round trip to surprise the winner.
Joe and Shaun, both 22 and friends since the age of 7, have worked tirelessly to bring their app to market. Users can earn entry tickets into a weekly cash giveaway, by playing one of the two games available, earning 1 ticket every 20 levels achieved - so the more people play, the more tickets they earn – improving their chance of winning the weekly Jackpot!
As the first winner, Leanne says she loves playing the games – particularly Slide Bars- and is using the prize money for “the best ever Christmas – it’s made me so happy!”
The free app was developed by the two of them after noticing a potential hole in the market, allowing people to win a lottery type prize, by simply playing a game. The idea became reality and ‘The Draw’ was born out of their energy and long held passion for creating a business.
“We were as excited as Leanne, and whilst we realised how far away the first ever winner lived, we felt it was important to take the money in person and see their reaction” says Shaun. “The journey gave us the opportunity to discuss further developments to the app at length” adds Joe “which is never a bad thing”.
“It’s daunting - In just over a week we have given away £1,500, - (including a £500 Facebook ‘like and share’ campaign, generating over 1,400 shares, and won by Chanice Trotman) – however, we knew we needed to go big by creating a buzz and raising awareness. We have big plans for The Draw, which will include more prizes of significant value”, the boys added.
