The Eaves Restaurant, located in Huntsville Alabama is a fine dining restaurant, offering an outstanding experience for its patrons. Located in downtown Huntsville, it is convenient to not only Huntsville residents but all of Madison County.
Executive Chef-Owner, Merle Phillip, is one of a few female minority chefs in the state of Alabama. She worked in New York and New Jersey. She worked for a major catering firm in Washington, D.C. Having trained and worked in New York City and Washington, D.C, both known for having world class cuisine restaurants, Phillip left to take her extensive background in the restaurant industry as well as her expertise and cooking creativity to Huntsville, Alabama.
Executive Chef Phillip has been a contributing and published author for The National Restaurant Association.
The Eaves Restaurant, opened in 2011 is a premiere dining restaurant offering Huntsville, Alabama and surrounding cities a full selection of delicious and unique culinary food.
The restaurant has seating capacity of approximately 140. There are private areas which are perfect for private parties, celebrations, etc. The Eaves Restaurant also provides full-service catering for weddings, bridal parties, corporate events and any other venue that requires unique and delicious food presented creatively.
Executive Chef Phillip was chosen as the Face of 2013 Huntsville Restaurant Week by The Huntsville/Madison County Visitor and Convention Bureau for its promotion of the event to be held August 16-25, 2013. The Huntsville/Madison County Visitor and Convention Bureau has promoted this event, featuring Chef Phillip, in its promotions including the August, 2013 issue of Southern Living Magazine.
Additionally, Chef Phillip hosts an event several times a year which consists of a class in preparing a unique dish, wine-tasting and artistically creating an item useful in serving food through her business, The Budding Chef.
