About

Newtroit Music Group is the parent company for Newtroit Records, a recording label originally founded by Hip Hop pioneer Spyder D. The label originally launched in 1980 with a 12" vinyl single entitled "Big Apple Rappin'" that was produced by Spyder D, making him the first rap artist to produce and release his own recordings. Today, the label is digitally distributed by Rainy Songs Entertainment and also distributes other independent music labels.
