The Secret Attic began from Connie Hurley-Pronley's home in November 2000 as a dress up birthday business. Within five years, the Secret Attic expanded to balloon decorating and costume rentals. By June 2003, Connie, along with her husband and three children, opened a store front in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
The Secret Attic now holds an inventory of thousands of party supplies, gift ware, costumes and costume accessories, balloons, and wedding supplies. Recently, the store added almost three thousand new costumes to its rental service, bringing the Secret Attic's costume inventory up to 7,000 costumes-- making it the largest costume rental shop in Waukesha County.
