We offer the City and Guilds 2382-12 18th Edition qualification. The courses are targeted towards practicing electricians, designers, surveyors and anyone who needs to have an understanding of the IEE Wiring Regulations. You don’t need to have any formal qualifications prior to this City and Guilds course, although electrical experience or knowledge is helpful.

The 18th Edition course content is broken into easy to digest units and the syllabus is built around the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018).. The units are as follows:

   Assessment of the general characteristics
   Protection
   How to select and erect equipment
   Inspection and testing
   Special installations and special locations
   Appendices

What are the changes from the 17th edition to 18th edition?

   Protection against electric shock
   Extra information on arc fault detection and protection about fire
   Possible selections and erection of electrical wiring systems
   Isolation, switching and protection are expected to be updated
   PLUS a brand new section covering all aspects of energy efficiency



Once the 18th Edition training course has been completed successfully, candidates will have the skills and knowledge they require to comply with the 18th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations.
