What started as a Saint Louis equipment rental business in 1971 quickly moved into providing more durable equipment, like wheelchairs and lifts. However, it was soon evident that the need for wheelchair accessibility within a vehicle was as important as owning the vehicle and the wheelchair. United Access saw this opportunity to provide the full life-cycle of service: buying a wheelchair or lift for use at home and in public and then fitting that wheelchair into your vehicle for independent travel. For this reason, our business evolved in conjunction with the disability rights movement. We specialized in vehicle adaptability and grew quickly due to our customer service driven staff.

Our mission is to be the best vehicle mobility equipment supplier in the country. In order to do this we must partner with top car manufacturers and vehicle conversion companies; more importantly, we must put the customer first in every way possible.
