About |
At Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA), we train students for careers in healthcare that make a difference in their lives, and in the lives of others. We are committed to equipping and empowering students to excel personally and academically. To do this, we offer extensive services to help students graduate and find careers in the growing field of healthcare.
We develop individualized student services throughout all phases of the student experience, from admissions to job searches and beyond. Students have access to academic advising, one-on-one or group tutoring, résumé and interview coaching, job search assistance, technical support and more. We also guide our alumni in finding new jobs, progressing in their current positions and developing new skills to remain competitive in the job market.
We understand what employers look for in new hires, and we tailor our curriculum to meet those needs. We also recognize the value of different learning styles and provide resources to make our coursework accessible for a wide range of learners. To do this, we offer more than one dozen programs via content-rich, interactive online courses and hands-on training at our campuses.
Founded in 1994 as a nonprofit school with a single campus, UMA continues this nonprofit tradition as a comprehensive healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida with an additional campus in Clearwater, we offer programs online and on campus. Today, we are proud to have supported more than 30,000 students through graduation and beyond.
UMA, through it's subsidiaries also provides continuing medical education (CME), educating thousands of physicians, nurses and other medical professionals each year throughout the United States. Our CME divisions, with offices in New York, Miami and Denver, create award-winning, innovative online courses, accredit CME programming and produce live conferences that incorporate technical innovations in the delivery of curriculum to maximize the learner experience and, ultimately, improve patient outcomes.
UMA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), and holds programmatic accreditation for the Health Information Technology program with the Commission on Accreditation for Health Information Management Education (CAHIIM), and is a member of educational groups including the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and the American Council for Education (ACE). Our CME divisions are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
Through career-focused coursework, intensive student services and continuing medical education, we strive to provide the tools that empower student populations to achieve success during and after their studies at UMA.
