UniGlobe Entertainment is a Hollywood and Mumbai based entertainment studio with a global mission to foster positive intercultural exchange and growth, between the West and the East, via the medium of entertainment. The studio has consistently solidified this vision with its various projects, the latest being “American Dream”. Starring Satya Bhabha (lead actor in the upcoming Deepa Mehta/Salman Rushdie Midnight’s Children and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World), Alex Veadov (Act Of Valor), Ailsa Marshall (Act of Valor), Omi Vaidya (3 Idiots) and directed by Namrata Singh Gujral (Americanizing Shelley, Kaante), the film deals with the journey of immigrants from the East, who move to the West, in pursuit of their dreams.

In 2011, UG wrapped international release of 1 a Minute, the largest theatrical release (almost 600 USA theaters) for a cancer film in cinema history with theatrical releases in the West and the East.

1 a Minute is currently out through Warner Bros. Most importantly, 1 a Minute is able to serve the global cancer community by bringing together an unprecedented and collective umbrella of charities as well as internationally celebrated cancer advocates, as the film’s partners (Olivia Newton-John, Melissa Etheridge, Deepak Chopra, Hrithik Roshan and more).

In keeping with the studio’s global responsibility vision, UG was a proud producer of crucial segments for HRH Prince Charles and his “Rainforest Project”. UG was honored with an invite from Prince Charles to be included as a corporate partner in The Prince’s Project, joining forces like Google, Apple and Sony.

UG first found major success with their debut feature “Americanizing Shelley” (Beau Bridges, Wil Wheaton, Namrata Singh Gujral, Noureen DeWulf) which is also being distributed by Warner Bros.  

The film has opened theatrically around the world with the likes of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, “Slumdog Millionaire” and many other blockbusters. This makes “Americanizing Shelley” the first Indo-Western crossover film after ‘Bend It like Beckham” to acquire major studio distribution in the U.S. and second after “Monsoon Wedding”.  The film boasts one of the highest per screen averages on opening weekend even though it was pitted against “Spiderman 3”.  

UG has also become a crucial bridge in the “one world” concept of entertainment by facilitating many deals between the West and the East such as music placements from Bollywood for “Wall Street 2”, packaging the action director/team from Hollywood for Bollywood’s “Toonpur Ka Superhero” (Ajay Devgun, Kajol) and many more.

UG’s upcoming feature projects include: comedy “5 Weddings”, war drama based in Afghanistan titled
“Tie That Binds” and Sci-Fi feature “STILL”. Upcoming non-fiction projects include the 1 a Minute TV shows titled “Destination Survival” and “The Cancer Cure Show”.

UG executes all facets of the entertainment industry including production, distribution, packaging, producer’s representation as well as ethno-centric marketing management.
