About

Since 1917, the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County has been serving as a resource for people, businesses, and organizations to make our community stronger.  Our mission is to bring people, organizations, and resources together to improve community well being.

Education, Income, and Health and Wellness are our three key areas of focus. Each year United Way invests millions of dollars in local programs and services that help people in need.  We match important resources - money, volunteers, training - with area nonprofit agencies that directly benefit individuals and families in Buffalo & Erie County.  Our Not For Profit Resource Center serves as a strategic hub for providing much-needed support and guidance to nonprofits throughout Western New York.
