In business since 1992, American Surplus Inc. has grown to be one of the largest dealers in used material handling equipment in the country. Located in East Providence,R.I., the headquarters for the corporation is unique for used dealers. The facility is 530,000sf in size with over 100 docking bays servicing all areas of the building. All the inventory is stored inside the building  to maintain the equipment quality not normally available to most used equipment dealers. The building size allows incoming tractor trailers and trains both able to enter the building for loading and unloading. ASI has a full complement of workshops and skilled technicians capable of modifying, customizing, and refurbishing racking, shelving, conveyor and mezzanine systems. The used product inventory has over 5 miles of conveyor, thousands of bays of shelving, racking, and the capability to fabricate hundreds of  mezzanines.
