Vivinavi, a local community website, was released in May, 2000 for the Japanese community in the U.S., offering Classified Listing Service (CLS) such as Personal Buy and Sell, Vehicle Buy and Sell, Events, Find Friends, Find Job, Discussion Forum, Roommate, Housing/Real Estate, Town Guide, Hot List, and Gig Work. Vivinavi has been widely used by Japanese residents in the U.S. as a local communication platform.  It has been introduced by consulates of Japan, Japanese radios and TV shows.  Now, most Japanese-written posts are translated into English. You can post and find local-based information in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, New York, Seattle, Hawaii, and many other cities.
