About

Veteran Service Corps is a 501(c)(3) registered in California. We are the natural evolution of the Veterans Stand for Standing Rock movement that assembled to support Native American Water Protectors in North Dakota in December of 2016. Many of our current staff were members of the follow-on organization, Veterans Stand.

From Veterans Stand, Veteran Service Corps (VSC) was born out of a need to empower both veterans and underserved communities to help improve the quality of life of the people within those communities. VSC is carrying that mission out through our ongoing operation in Eagle Butte, SD, code named Operation Eagle. This community project has set the stage for us as an organization going forward. We have had over 1 million dollars in “in kind” donations in the form of manpower to complete projects within the community.

We have refurbished a Youth Center in Cherry Creek, cleared burned out land lots so that new housing can be built, started a Youth Sports Program on the reservation to give the children better choices, and we have helped build a strong community of support for Native Veterans nationally, to name just a few of our projects.  VSC is working in conjunction with other organizations like hawkwing, Inc., and Veterans for Peace in order to further all of our humanitarian missions in a communal manner.

No Veteran left behind, No Community left behind.
