About

As a painter, I have always been drawn to the unexpected beauty of mundane objects, shapes colors and nuances that are often overlooked, light and shadow taken for granted.
I allow my work to evolve organically and in the moment.  One layer of paint suggesting the next, sometimes unexpectedly, as the subject emerges and settles into the completed work.  I strive to form an intimate relationship with my subject, whether it is something as mundane as an old chair or a sweeping landscape of color. It is that empathy that I offer the viewer, a mysterious glimpse into my personal sensibility, with the hope that it will tempt them to make their own connection.
