Astribank™ - USB Channel Bank for Asterisk – Astribank is a revolutionary concept in telephony interfaces for Asterisk systems. Using USB 2.0 ports to connect to any Asterisk server, Astribank eliminates the requirement for a PCI (E1/T1) card, and even for PCI slots. The USB 2.0 interface provides a theoretical speed of 480 Mbits per second, which for typical uncompressed phone conversations translates to roughly 2,400 calls per port. Astribank is available in a variety of models, all based on combinations of the following types of modules: FXS, FXO, PRI (E1 and T1), R2 and BRI, to match user specifications. Connections for peripheral devices, such as alarms and door openers, are also supported. The USB architecture employed by Xorcom products affords many advantages, including the ability to build large systems that support hundreds of analog extensions, rapid set-up and easy maintenance.
Multiple Astribank units may be connected to a single server using different USB 2.0 ports, or a USB 2.0 hub, or a USB 2.0 PCI card, to easily create a telephony system that supports hundreds of analog extensions. By providing support for MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) in analog phones, Astribank becomes an especially practical solution for large commercial implementations, such as hotels and assisted living facilities. Supported options include utilities for disaster recovery and high availability.

XR1000™, XR2000™, and XR3000™ – Asterisk-based IP-PBX Systems – These all-in-one appliances are based on the Astribank technology and allow seamless communication using both VoIP and traditional telephony protocols. Members of the series differ in the number of supported users and features, starting from the basic XR1000, which is suitable for SOHO, up to the robust XR3000, which supports up to four PRI connections along with hundreds of analog and IP extensions. All XR models are compatible with the leading Asterisk distributions, including: trixbox CE® and Elastix™.
