About

"Yeh Hai Life!" is a social media network with a view from the crossroads, where India meets the World, and the World meets India, while celebrating life!

"Yeh Hai Life!" translated from Hindi literally means This Is Life! Like most Indian phrases, it cuts both ways – Life is Great! or Life Sucks!

We were inspired to create Yeh Hai Life! one winter weekday evening in Mumbai, India. We were there to research a film, and had spent days learning about the wrecked lives of India’s cotton farmers. Our heads were full of facts about poverty, desperation and loss. And yet, sitting in an outdoor cafe overlooking the Arabian sea, we were surrounded by crowds of people: peanut vendors, musicians, young people with faces full of hope. In that moment, we felt optimism and energy, a zest for life that the people of India seem to possess, and we wanted to bring that zest home.

And so Yeh Hai Life! was born. We hope that you will love our products as much as we do, and that you’ll help us to improve the lives of people who have literally nothing.

Our website is very important to us. It is a blog with a view from the crossroads, where India meets the World, and the World meets India. We discuss environmental issues, politics, People Making a Difference, the LOL Moment, and even have a Yogacam!

Thanks for stopping by - and remember: Yeh Hai Life...is what you make of it!
