About

AndWhich is a Houston-based nonprofit organization redefining how small businesses and solopreneurs get support—while empowering women to re-enter the workforce one task at a time. Through a task-based Virtual Assistant model, AndWhich connects overworked business owners with skilled, U.S.-based Virtual Assistants who provide affordable, flexible, and professional help in administration, marketing, creative design, and more.

Founded by business strategist Jannine Mahone and her long-time collaborator Natasha Moffett, AndWhich was built from a shared observation: countless women—many mid-career professionals, mothers, and former executives—were struggling to rejoin the workforce after career breaks, while thousands of small business owners were drowning in tasks they didn’t have time to complete. AndWhich became the bridge between the two. Its mission is simple yet transformative: help women earn one task at a time while helping entrepreneurs reclaim their time and sanity.

Unlike traditional VA agencies that charge hourly rates or rely heavily on offshore labor, AndWhich uses a task-based credit system designed for transparency and impact. Each package—Bronze, Silver, or Gold—gives business owners a set number of task credits based on complexity, allowing them to delegate work predictably and affordably. The approach ensures clients know exactly what they’re paying for while providing sustainable, flexible income for U.S.-based women Virtual Assistants.

AndWhich stands out by combining economic empowerment, digital innovation, and human connection. The organization offers both employment opportunities and professional development for women who may have stepped away from traditional careers due to caregiving responsibilities, relocation, or health transitions. Through hands-on mentoring, training, and community support, these women refine their administrative, creative, and digital skills while contributing real value to the small businesses they serve.

In 2025, AndWhich gained visibility through its creative presence at the Houston Small Business Expo, where it transformed a standard 10x10 booth into a fully functioning pop-up podcast studio. Branded as the “Delegate Like a Boss Podcast Corner,” the space invited women entrepreneurs to record and refine their 30-second business pitches, empowering them to communicate their value with confidence. The booth stayed busy all day as dozens of women shared their stories, gained feedback, and experienced first-hand how clarity and delegation can propel growth. The event generated multiple partnership opportunities, including discussions with a Houston-based bank regarding grant support and new collaborations with chambers, coworking hubs, and women’s business organizations.

AndWhich’s unique positioning—between AI technology, human empathy, and social impact—allows it to respond to modern workforce challenges in innovative ways. While many organizations teach entrepreneurs how to use AI tools, AndWhich’s approach is application-focused: “Learn Less. Apply More.” Virtual Assistants trained through AndWhich are “AI-ready,” using tools like ChatGPT, Canva, Wix, and SEMrush to enhance productivity for small business clients. This hybrid of human creativity and digital fluency helps entrepreneurs save time and focus on high-value work, while women VAs strengthen employable skills that are future-proof and in demand.

As a registered nonprofit, AndWhich reinvests a majority of its revenue directly into workforce development, mentorship, and professional upskilling programs. Its operating philosophy is rooted in dignity, opportunity, and balance—believing that when women thrive economically, entire communities benefit. By providing flexible remote work that pays fair rates and builds confidence, AndWhich helps women achieve both personal and professional fulfillment.

The organization also runs outreach initiatives to engage donors, corporate sponsors, and local chambers of commerce. Supporters can contribute through Zeffy donations, Bonfire merchandise campaigns, or community partnerships such as business expos, women’s networking events, and fundraising collaborations. Each contribution directly supports training and paid work opportunities for women Virtual Assistants across the U.S.

Looking forward, AndWhich plans to expand its reach through podcasting, media partnerships, and local grant initiatives to amplify its message. Its forthcoming podcast series, Task Talk, will feature small business owners, VAs, and community leaders discussing real-world stories of transformation, balance, and empowerment.

At its core, AndWhich exists to prove that delegation is not just a business strategy—it’s a form of empowerment. By connecting women ready to work with entrepreneurs ready to grow, the organization turns overwhelm into opportunity, one task, one story, and one woman at a time.
