About

The Center for Telehealth and e-Health Law (CTeL) is a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit research institute dedicated to addressing the legal and regulatory dimensions of digital health. Since 1995, CTeL has been at the forefront of driving innovation, education, and advocacy in telehealth, remote monitoring, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Our commitment lies in conducting evidence-based research that shapes meaningful policy and legislative changes, all while promoting equitable, high-quality telehealth care that is accessible to everyone. We believe in the importance of ensuring that healthcare is available when, where, and how it’s needed most.

Our mission is to empower healthcare providers, legal professionals, and policymakers to navigate the complex and evolving landscape of digital health—spanning telehealth, remote monitoring, AI, and future technologies.

For nearly three decades, we have championed policies that enhance access, equity, and safety in tech-enabled care. Our expert team delivers in-depth research and analysis on digital health laws, regulations, and policies both in the U.S. and globally. We provide our members with the latest insights on key issues such as licensing, reimbursement, and privacy—critical elements that influence the successful adoption and integration of digital health solutions.

At CTeL, we believe in the transformative power of technology to revolutionize healthcare and improve patient outcomes. We are also mindful of the legal and regulatory challenges that can slow progress. That’s why we work to develop forward-thinking policies, initiatives, and best practices that support our members and the broader healthcare.
