We were invited by friends to join them on the 21 day China Highlights tour. Little did we know what was in store for us! Breathtaking scenery, 5-star accommodations, a look at present day bustling China and glimpses of "old" China. The local tour guides were wonderful - so knowledgeable, humorous and patient. Each time we sadly left one guide we were joined by another excellent one! We would be hard pressed to single out one highlight as each day brought a new adventure - a visit to a tea plantation, Silk Institute, night tour of the lakes in Guilin with stunning lights and entertainment! We really enjoyed the guides. David was extremely knowledgeable, William is a hoot and very light-hearted, Jacob was a great combination of information and personality. Laurus exceeded our expectations on the 12-Day Best of China trip in October. We thought the accommodations, tours, food and guides were excellent. The high-speed train from Xian to Beijing was an added bonus! We loved seeing the agricultural aspects of China as we purred along at 300 kilometers/hour. In addition, the extra excursion to the tea farm in Guilin was excellent! What a wonderful introduction to China! Working with Julius is truly a pleasure. Our tour with Laurus Travel was stellar. As young professionals in our early 30s taking our first tour, we were delighted to have a vacation planned for us. We appreciated the flexibility of the free time/days in the itinerary.
