Mikie Huffman is a vocalist, actor, musician, and, an instructor of voice, piano, and guitar; teaching both privately, and, at Lake Norman area music, dance and performing-arts studios.

Mikie is from Mooresville, North Carolina. He studied Vocal Performance at Central Piedmont Community College with an Associate in Fine Arts degree under the instruction of world-renowned soprano, Rebecca Cook-Carter and has studied voice with with Charlotte baritone, Harrison Bumgarder. He has studied piano with Dr. Roxanne Holt Watson and accompanied voice students on piano at CPCC. Mikie has also studied Modern Music Composition with composer, Dr. Craig Bove.

Mikie founded an independent record label in 2009 for which he wrote, performed, recorded, and produced music for himself and other local talents. His music is featured internationally on ITunes, Amazon, and other international digital distributors from 2009 to 2015. He is currently working on post-production of a new project, while teaching voice and piano, playing music locally, and, singing in Church choirs throughout the community. A new album release is scheduled for summer, 2016.

Mikie founded a non-profit foundation in 2015, in an effort to assist in providing opportunities for underprivileged children in the community to afford musical instruments and study. Judy Hughes Music Foundation, Inc. will grant memorial scholarships to collegiate music scholars. It will provide musical instruments to youth who may not be able to afford them. The mission is to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to study music.

Mikie founded Lake Norman Lessons in 2014; an in-home music lesson service that caters to the Lake Norman and Greater Charlotte-Metro Area, where he teaches voice, piano, saxophone, and guitar.
