Renovato Intl. was created based upon the discovery of a commonality amongst cultures with healthy hair vs. those with common hair and scalp ailments inspired a mission to create a safe and natural hair care solution. Once the discovery was made, Research and Development began immediately and after 18 months working alongside chemists, the Renovo Rejuvenating Shampoo has become a reality.
While traveling, owners Brent and Mitch discovered a global trend, which sparked their attention. “We have the most advanced medical and cosmetic technology in the world, yet some of the most common chronic skin and hair issues,” Mr. Terrell explains, “We discovered specific communities in South America, Asia, and South Africa where many of the women have long beautiful hair and the men rarely deal with hair loss or thinning; therefore, an initiative was launched to study these groups in an effort to learn their hair care practices. Each year in the US an enormous amount of resources are spent on treatments for hair and skin issues, yet the problems remain saturated in our society.” Mr. Terrell discovered these communities weren’t using soaps & bottled shampoo but instead natural oils, clay, and herbs – a tradition they eventually found to be practiced by many of the ancient cultures known for their healthy hair.
Emerging through the research conducted on ancient tribes, civilizations and nomadic groups, the Rejuvenation formula represents an infusion of modern scientific advancements with Ayurveda/eastern herbalism. The intriguing differentiator between cultures with predominant healthy, elegant hair and those with chronic scalp and hair problems (dandruff, alopecia, psoriasis, baldness etc…) is the utilization of all-natural plant derived extracts vs. the harsh soaps and chemicals used by more industrialized societies.
The company offers consumers a truly natural hair care system designed to assist the body in producing the healthiest hair possible. “So many companies use the term ‘all-natural’ yet when you read the ingredient label you still find the harsh chemical soaps and emulsifying agents which are capable of causing scalp issues and hair problems. That completely defeats the purpose,” explains co-founder, Brent Terrell. “We do use mild surfactants in our formula; however, they are extracted via natural means and are coconut based.” Renovo contains a proprietary emulsifying agent utilizing Xanthan Gum, essential oils and plant extracts to maintain the integrity of their key ingredients. This marks the infusion of ancient practices with modern technology.
Consumers can also feel good about using Renovato Intl. products as the company is dedicated to give back to the planet, especially the regions from which Renovo’s ingredients originate. Along with the rollout of Renovo™ they created the concept of the Environmental Rejuvenation Initiative™ (ERI). The ERI concept is designed to offset carbon emissions produced through daily activities, organically spreading Renovato’s mission with the world. Their first ERI is the Millishrub Sutra™, a campaign to plant a tree for every social media follower they receive, with the intention of eventually planting 1,000,000 trees. A portion of each purchase goes towards this effort. Renovato Intl. will continue to implement various ERI’s where they feel the efforts will have the greatest environmental impact.
Shampoo is only the beginning. Renovato Intl. plans to revolutionize the cosmetics industry, utilizing all-natural, ancient healthcare traditions and ingredients from around the world. They are currently developing their second and third products, a scalp treatment as well as a complimentary shampoo designed to alternate with Renovo in order to maintain its effectiveness. “With any hair care product the scalp develops a natural immunity as the product is consistently used. Since it is important to periodically rotate ingredients in order to prevent the body’s natural immunity process from lessening the performance, the additional product will be perfect for use in a rotation with Renovo™,” explains co-founder Mitch Smith, “ The response from our initial consumer trials has exceeded our expectations and we anticipate similar feedback from the public.
