About |
The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Sonoma State University (SSU) was founded amid change in the 1960s. A group of forward-thinking professors moved north from San Francisco to challenge the status quo and establish a new campus and new approach to learning, free from the ivory tower. Change is part of our organizational DNA.
Our mission is to create transformational learning experiences for our students while evolving best business practices, locally and globally. Values of community, sustainability, creativity, and progress are essential to the story of SBE, and instilled in our students through competitive undergraduate and graduate degree programs, professional development courses, and custom corporate partnerships.
SBE is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It is one of only 15 percent of business schools worldwide that meet these rigorous standards of excellence.
Graduate programs are offered as Part-time, Full-time, and Executive MBA degree formats, including an innovative concentration in wine business (Wine MBA; Executive Wine MBA; Global Wine MBA).
These degrees are the only of their kind in the U.S. The Executive Wine MBA is the first and only of its kind in the world. Programs are designed with a schedule, relevance, and leadership focus for working professionals.
Undergraduate degree programs include a B.S. in Business, a B.A. in Economics, and a range of cross-disciplinary minors. The business degree has concentrations in accounting, finance and financial management, management, marketing, and wine business strategies. Both degrees offer custom concentrations.
