Wai Chim grew up in New York City. Although her parents didn’t speak much English, Wai harboured a passion for books from a very young age, sneaking stories into bed to read well into the night. When she was five years old, she started her first book about a ‘daddy chicken’; it came to three pages, most of it pictures. It only took twenty years to come up with the rest!
Outside of writing, Wai enjoys cooking and blogging about her inspired gourmet creations. Wai has studied law, computer science, economics, English, creative writing and film. She currently heads up the content department at a digital marketing agency in Sydney where she’s lived for the past several years.
