About

Prototype Entertainment Products is an independent West Coast-based developer of entertainment properties for conventional and virtual media, innovative brands, and new media concepts.

On September 1, 2009, Prototype launched KBN, the free internet-based Kids' Book Network. A internet pioneer, KBN introduced children's books that could be directly downloaded and home- or classroom-printed as an on-paper book, or read as an on-monitor flashbook.

In 2011 the KBN website, in cooperation with the U.S. Reading Team Foundation, introduced a new program of free books and instructional support designed to enable parents to strengthen their toddler's cognitive development with a new language-based strategy – and at the same time  teach their child to begin reading before the age of two.

In 2017 KBN is making this same special project – closely-focused on stronger language and learning development – available to families, schools and childcare centers in a convenient ready-to-read trade book format.

Objective – to support children and their families early, when they need development help the most. To launch a new generation of 21st century,American children who are stronger analytic thinkers. And to bring an end to a national high school dropout rate of more than 20 percent.
