About

limb-loss.org  |  Guiding Amputees Through the Rehabilitative Process

Our mission is simple: Our mission is to improve the lives of millions of individuals affected by limb loss. We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization.

We accomplish this by providing the Amputee Population with the highest-quality, most contemporary educational and informational resources available. We believe that by educating, empowering and enabling the amputee population, we will improve the rehabilitative process as well as the quality-of-life of millions.

We offer the following groundbreaking resources to the amputee community:

Tutorial Videos - We aim to guide amputees (and their loved ones) through the rehabilitative process, step-by-step, teaching them valuable skills and terminology, enabling them to know what to expect next and how to adapt to life with amputation.

Product Reviews - In order to get the most out of your prosthesis, you need to be informed about all of the prosthetic products and options available. Our product review pages contain feedback from real users of the products, so people can make educated and informed decisions about prosthetic products.

Find a Practitioner - Working with the right practitioner is an absolutely vital part of your prosthetic rehab and success. Our Practitioner Directory is an invaluable tool that allows you to easily find local, reputable prosthetic care (and other related resources).

Social Network/Discussion Groups - Members of the Amputee Population can easily find support, share knowledge, ask questions and meet people who've been there.
Our vision is to create a vibrant, dynamic community of informed, educated individuals equipped to overcome the obstacle of limb loss.
