Wedding and event planning firms, Black Bag Productions and Events of Sophistication have geared up for another year of helping area students enjoy a special prom night.  The firms collaborated in 2008 to launch The Magic Wand Project.  Its mission is to provide prom attire for young men and women whose families are not able to afford the costs of gowns and tuxedos.  Charitable donations of new and gently used cocktail and evening gowns/dresses, shoes and accessories, such as wraps, purses and jewelry for the young ladies and black tuxedos and suits, along with shoes and accessories such as vests, ties and cufflinks for the young men are requested.

The Magic Wand Project hosts official drop-offs for the donations prior to prom season as well as Magic Wand parties where students are able to select their formal attire and receive special gifts.  Upcoming parties for spring 2015 are scheduled for:

Saturday, March 21, 2015
11:00am to 2:00pm
Wilde Lake High School, Columbia MD
