Montréal-dB (formerly Montreal-Indivisible) is a Montreal based non-profit organization focused on analyzing and understanding noise pollution, specifically airplane noise pollution. All data captured by Montréal-dB is made available for non-commercial use to the public, as well as government and health institutions to support public policy decisions in the field of noise pollution in communities.
Montreal-dB plans to establish a mini-noise observatory pilot project with its California based technology partner GetNOISY LLC, (www.getnoisy.io) in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, which will record the date, time, location and decibel level of airplanes and allow for the generation of a real time sound map of plane noise over Montreal.
