About

The Peacock Art Gallery is run by The Poole and East Dorset Art Society in partnership with Poole Borough Council,  Poole Borough leisure services, and the Social Care and Well-being Unit.
We are committed to run a programme of exhibitions that cater for the local community and the visitor, and to enable local artists and groups to hire the gallery for at least ten months of the year.
As a progressive art society we hold an open art / photography / writing competition once a year. We exhibit as a society once a year, and take part in Dorset Art Weeks held bi-annually.
We have run this gallery successfully for the last 5-6 years and in that time have used revenue from the hire fees to replace a dated lighting system, bought seating and a stewards table. numerous repairs, and are in the process of commisioning a logo.
We hire out to anyone in the BH postcode area (with some exceptions).
We are a family friendly designated gallery and with the Tearooms below to enjoy a delicious lunch or afternoon tea, as well as the beautiful parkland setting with garden and marshland walks, peacocks and an opportunity to study the variety of birdlife ,offer a wonderful day out, as well as the opportunity to purchase an amazing memory in a painting, photograph, textile or a three dimensional piece.
