About

Ron Lewis is a television and newspaper journalist of 42 years experience, now reinventing himself as an author. Ron had the unique experience of working in the Golden Age of Independent Television. He joined HTV Wales three years after Harlech TV with its star-studded board of directors became one of sixteen Independent Television companies serving the United Kingdom.
A former newspaper reporter with the Western Mail and Cambrian News, Ron started his television career in Cardiff as an editorial assistant and scriptwriter. He went on to become a reporter, presenter and programme editor in the cultural playground that was ITV in the 1970’s and early 1980’s.
Ron worked continuously for HTV and ITV in various roles, both full and part-time, from 1971 to 2006. He took redundancy in 1989, but returned as a freelance one week later. Ron ended up as producer-presenter of the popular Crimestoppers appeals. Married, with two daughters and five grand-daughters, he lives on a small holding in Carmarthenshire. Ron's interests include drinking whatever's to hand and catching up with Welsh lessons he should have taken years ago.
