Sounds of Imani is a Prayze Factor Award-Winning Gospel Artist  in the categories of Praise & Worship Duo/Group and Contemporary Urban Gospel Duo/Group.  In addition, Sounds of Imani was the recipient of the Excellence In Christian Academy Certificate of Recognition as a 2013 ECMA participant.  The event was spearheaded by Henry Harris of Spiritco1 Radio.  

The music of Sounds of Imani was influenced throughout the years by various gospel music artists including Anointed, Helen Baylor, Walter Hawkins, & Israel Houghton to name a few; as well as secular artists such as Ashford and Simpson, Maze, Patti Austin, Minnie Ripperton, and Earth, Wind & Fire.  

Sounds of Imani has two new singles entitled "Must Be an Angel" and "It's Alright" for release in European Territory scheduled for February 4, 2013 on Soul Junction Records.  New U.S. releases scheduled for release March 25, 2014!  A previous 2002 CD project entitled "Revelation" presents such songs as "Fly Away", "My Redeemer", "Something Inside", "Thank You" and a smooth gospel jazz track entitled "Heaven's Light".
