Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Inc. Established in 1881 as the Denver & Rio Grande Railway, and based in Durango, Colorado, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR) has been transporting passengers, young and old alike, through the San Juan National Forest for 140 years.
